PURPOSE: A Web filtering apparatus and method using an asymmetrical traffic flow is provided to control a Web connection by filtering only an upload traffic of a user. CONSTITUTION: An upload traffic designated by a manager passes necessarily through a packet filtering unit(20) to come to the Internet, while a download traffic is directly transferred to a user from a packet redirect unit(10). The packet redirect unit(10) redirects an input traffic to a specific unit. When a traffic of a user is inputted to the packet redirect unit(10), the packet redirect unit redirects the traffic to the packet filtering unit(20). In detail, an Internet traffic generated by the user is inputted to the packet redirect unit(10), and then the packet redirect unit sends a traffic designated by the user to the packet filtering unit(20). Accordingly, the packet filtering unit(20) receives the packet redirected from the packet redirect unit(10). The packet filtering unit(20) reads the inputted packet, checks whether it needs to be filtered, and judges whether to allow a Web connection.
