摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the accurate molecular concentration by irradiating a laser beam so as not to break parent ions in molecules of a trace component. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a high-output ultrashort pulse laser 10 using a femto-second titanium sapphire laser, a tunable means 20 by an optical parametric oscillator using a nonlinear crystal, and a time-of-flight mass spectrometer 30 for ionizing molecules by irradiation of the laser beam and measuring the molecular ion intensity. In this method, the laser beam having an optional wavelength in a waveband having none of electron transition absorption, vibrational transition absorption and vibrational transition harmonic absorption of the molecules and the molecular ions is set by the tunable means 20, and the molecules are irradiated therewith, and the molecular ion intensity is measured by the mass spectrometer 30.
