PURPOSE: A torque sensor is provided to simply manufacture the torque sensor and to precisely detect a torque regardless of a peripheral environment by measuring a difference of induced voltage between two detecting coil assemblies. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft(21) and an output shaft(22), which are connected to each other through a torsion bar(23), are provided in a housing(20). The input and output shafts(21,22) are rotatably supported by means of bearings(24,25) installed in the housing(20). The input shaft(21) is connected to a steering handle so as to be rotated together with the steering handle. A pinion gear section(22a) formed at one side of the output shaft(22) is meshed with a rack bar(26) of a power steering device. Steering force is transferred to wheels through the input shaft(21), the torsion bar(23), the output shaft(22) and the power steering device.
