PURPOSE: A solenoid valve and a three-way solenoid valve are provided to improve the stability of the solenoid valve by restricting contact of a plunger and a coil spring or a fixing iron core, to reduce the number of parts, and to improve the follow-up performance of the plunger with a valve element in operating with high frequency without increasing the ventilation resistance. CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve(1) of three-way type changes the connection between a negative pressure passage in communication with a negative pressure source and a positive pressure passage leading to a supply passage. A plunger(9) is formed of a bottom-equipped cylindrical shape, and a valve element(8) is fixed to the bottom of the plunger. A projection is protruded from a non-magnetic member in the circumferential direction for restricting the sliding motion of the plunger by contacting the valve element inside the plunger. The plunger is prevented from being contacted to the coil spring or the fixing iron core by holding the end of the coil spring with the projection in tilting the plunger at wear.
