摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing the intrusion of iron into a battery material, and, further, preventing the intrusion of stainless steel powder into a battery material. SOLUTION: The production method consists of a stage 1 where a lithium compound, and a transition metal compound, and, if required, a substituted element metal compound are mixed, a stage 2 where the mixture is charged to a dry pulverization machine, and is pulverized, a stage 3 where the mixture is charged to a burning furnace, and is burned to obtain a lithium-transition metal compound oxide, a stage 4 where the lithium-transition metal compound oxide after the burning is cracked, and a stage 5 where the cracked lithium- transition metal compound oxide is classified. One or more selected from the time before the stage 1, the time after the stage 2, and the time after the stage 2 are provided with a stage where iron powder and/or SUS powder is removed by magnetic force.
