PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a molding material which can be used for producing a molded article requiring a complex formulation. SOLUTION: In this production method, (A) a masterbatch containing at least two materials selected from among thermoplastic resins and rubbers and a compressed filler is dry-blended with (B) at least one material selected from among thermoplastic resins and rubbers. The ratio A/(A+B) (wherein A is the mass of component A; and B is that of component B) is 0.1-0.6.
