PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord for reinforcing a rubber which is constituted by using carbon fibers exerting an excellent fatigue resistance, and to provide a fiber reinforced rubber material for which the cord is used and which can be used suitably as a reinforcing material for a rubber material such as a tire, a belt or a hose. SOLUTION: The cord for reinforcing the rubber is constituted by impregnating a carbon fiber bundle of breaking elongation 1.7% or above with an epoxy resin composition containing a rubber latex, and the carbon fiber bundle is formed of twisted yarns of which the twist multiplier is within the range of 90 to 900. The twist multiplier: [N×(D)1/2], N: number of twists (time/10 cm), D: total fineness of carbon fiber bundle (dtex). The fiber reinforced rubber material is reinforced by using the cord. |
