PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a compact laser apparatus for construction that can be installed on an inclined base, a wall surface, a ceiling, and the like and easily and accurately position a laser apparatus regarding marking on the base. SOLUTION: The laser apparatus for construction comprises an electrooptical system (4) that is automatically aligned under the operation of gravity (G) within a level range that is automatically standardized, and a housing (2) for fixing a stand (7) that is fitted to the base (6), and generates vertical beams and/or horizontal beams (5a, 5b) by the electrooptical system (4). The stand (7) can be constrained within an angle range (β) of 20 deg. or higher at a right angle to the vertical beams and/or horizontal beams (5a, 5b) with at least one turning axial line (A) as a center, or can be constricted by turning in steps by an angle step that is enclosed in a level range (α) that is leveled automatically.
