PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify connection work, and to eliminate erroneous connection. SOLUTION: A gas meter 1 operated by a built-in battery is provided with a connection means 31 having a shape different from a terminal 26 of a terminal block 19 to connect an emergency electric power source when a voltage of the battery gets low, in the terminal block 19 of the gas meter 1. The connection means 31 is a connector, and has the same shape with an external connection terminal of a cellular phone. A damage of other external equipment caused by the erroneous wiring is prevented thereby. A connection work time for connecting the emergency power source to the connection means is shortened thereby, and the emergency power source for the gas meter is easily available without being provided all the time.
