PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear part opening/closing structure capable of improving an appearance without generating any clearance between a plurality of back door members in folding the back door. SOLUTION: In this lateral opening type back door structure, the back door is constructed of a plurality of back door members, which is connected so that it can be folded in the vehicle width directional intermediate part when the back door is opened, and provided with a shielding member shielding a gap between the adjacent back door members in the back door folding condition. Therefore, the foldable back door can be opened even when a space behind the vehicle is narrow. Since the clearance between the adjacent back door members is shielded by the shielding member, an appearance in folding the back door can be improved.
