PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange short fibers substantially vertically for a tread face with satisfactory productivity to improve the performance on ice. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire forms a land part 9 including short fibers and made of rubber in which short fibers f are blended in a tread part 2. A burr-like projecting part 11 protruding onto an outer side in the radial direction of the tire from a ground contact surface 10a due to suction of rubber substantially vertically from the ground contact surface during vulcanization and/or its cutting trace 12 are provided on the ground contact surface 10a coming into contact with a road surface of the land part 9 including short fibers. A ratio of total area Sa of the projecting part or its cut-away trace to an area Sb of the ground contact surface (Sa/Sb) is 0.1 to 0.4.
