PURPOSE: A driving apparatus for a core stocker is provided to achieve improved productivity by allowing for accuracy and smoothness of core supply and increasing stability of assembly system. CONSTITUTION: A driving shaft(3) for rotating a chain(1) has an end mounted with a first rotation plate(10) fixed to the driving shaft, and the first rotation plate has a plurality of rotation holes(11) formed at the spacing same with the spacing of a block pad(2). The driving shaft has a second rotation plate(20) which rotates independently from the driving shaft, wherein the second rotation plate is connected to a rod(22) of a driving cylinder(21) fixed to a frame(5). The second rotation plate has an angle of reciprocation same with the angle between the rotation holes of the first rotation plate. The second rotation plate has a rotation cylinder(30) which is equipped with a rod having a fixed rod. When the fixed rod is protruded, the fixed rod penetrates through the second rotation plate and gets caught at the rotation hole of the first rotation plate.
