摘要 PURPOSE: A method for controlling a charging operation of a hybrid electric vehicle is provided to allow for effectiveness of battery charging operation, while stably discharging exhaust gas by preventing a torque fluctuation. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(S101) of reading battery and vehicle state information; a second step(S102) of judging whether the current vehicle state satisfies conditions for performing a voltage charging operation; a third step(S104) of calculating an appropriate engine RPM and maximum and minimum values of engine RPM, if it is judged in the third step that the current vehicle state satisfies; a fourth step(S105) of judging whether the counted charging cycle corresponds to the battery charging control cycle; a fifth step(S106) of judging whether the engine RPM is lower than the appropriate level for generation efficiency and whether the degree of opening of the throttle valve of ETC is lower than the maximum controllable level, if it is judged in the fourth step that the counted charging cycle corresponds to the battery control cycle; and a sixth step(S107) of increasing the engine RPM and output torque, if it is judged in the fifth step that the engine RPM is lower and the degree of opening of the throttle valve is lower.
