PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device for maintaining proper backlash between gears even in conditions including an atmospheric temperature change when using resin toothed gears with metal cores. SOLUTION: The thickness of a resin portion is properly determined in accordance with the coefficients of linear expansion of a driving gear, a driven gear and a housing, a tooth length and a distance between the gears. A positional relationship between the gears is, therefore, unchanged even in the atmospheric temperature change, resulting in substantially unchanged backlash. |
