PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a reflector for liquid crystal, which can reduce the cost of a product and gives a high dimensional precision to the product. SOLUTION: A material substrate 1 passes through a stamping stage a for stamping out a blank shape member 21, a first bending stage b for forming a chevron piece 22 in one side edge of the blank shape member by bending, a second bending stage c for raising the chevron piece to form a stepped bending piece 7 and forming a base piece 8 in the other side edge by bending, a third bending stage d for bending the blank shape member at right angles halfway in the breadthwise direction, a fourth bending stage e for bending the base piece so as to make it parallel with the bending piece to form it into a fundamental sectional shape of a reflector 11 for liquid crystal, a posture returning stage f for turning the reflector for liquid crystal upward, a correcting stage g for inserting a correction male mold into the reflector for liquid crystal and holding the outward shape by a female mold to finish the sectional shape of the reflector for liquid crystal, and a cutting-off stage h for cutting the finished reflector for liquid crystal in narrow connection parts 23 of both end parts.
