PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting apparatus for a roof, which can quickly and evenly melt snow, is low in fuel efficiency, consumes a small amount of water, and allows the resident to enjoy comfortable indoor life even in summer. SOLUTION: In a roof truss main body including purlins and rafters, splints are superposed on an upper surface of the rafters at predetermined intervals to form engaging recesses, and heat insulating materials are laid on bottom portions between the rafters, followed by engaging radiating pipes each having a radiating body attached to the periphery thereof, with the engaging recesses. Then, sheathing roof boards and roofing materials are arranged on the splints, and an eaves side and a ridge side of a space between the rafters and the splints are blocked, whereby the rafters and the splints define an air flow space in which air flows smoothly, together with the heat insulating materials. Further, an eaves side and a ridge side of the air flow space are connected to each other by a circulating pipe crawling in an attic, and therefore air flows smoothly in the space. Furthermore, an outside air intake port is formed on an eaves side of the circulating pipe in a closable manner, and a heat exhaust port is formed on a ridge side of the same in a closable manner.
