摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement corresponding to the requirement for the manufacture of uniform-cross-sectional cylindrical casings of varying configurations and sizes by combining segments without fabricating independent extrusion dies for the manufacture. SOLUTION: When a hydrant chamber having a rectangular cross-sectional shape with arcuate corners is used as an example, the four arcuate corners and rectilinear portions except the corners are formed as independent segments and each of the rectilinear portions is divided into appropriate sizes. Each of the segments is manufactured by extrusion molding of a thermoplastic resin or aluminum so that the cross sections of all the segments have the same configuration and size. For an arrangement consisting of the segments assembled, male and female tongues are formed integrally with both sides of the segments making contact with each other, and the segments are fitted together in a direction parallel to the axis of a cylinder and assembled together. An adhesive is applied to or injected into the contacting portions of the segments.
