PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin which gives a molded article undergoing almost no discoloration even by heating in molding and processing and which has good thermal stability and transparency. SOLUTION: The process for producing a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin is characterized in that 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride monomer is polymerized in an aqueous medium by using 0.01-0.5 pt.wt. of a dispersant comprising an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide copolymer, and the obtained vinyl chloride resin is chlorinated in the aqueous medium.
