PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering angle detecting device for a vehicle capable of easily detecting the straight-ahead condition of the vehicle in a short time and specifying a steering center point. SOLUTION: When the present cycle position (i) is not stored in a random access memory 20a, whether or not the vehicle is in a straight-ahead condition is determined individually based on the detection signal detected by each of wheel speed sensors 13FL-13RR, a yaw rate sensor 14 and a lateral acceleration sensor 15. A weighted value is set individually during the straight-ahead condition, and when the sum of the set weighted values is not less than the prescribed value, the vehicle is determined to be in the straight-ahead condition and the center point of a steering angle sensor 16 is specified by determining the present cycle position. The position specified during the straight-ahead condition is fixed and stored in the memory 20a. |
