PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor which improves the space efficiency without any interference of first and second refrigerant introduction pipes with each other. SOLUTION: This rotary compressor 10 has an electric element and first and second compression elements driven by the electric element in a closed vessel 12, compresses the refrigerant gas sucked from a refrigerant introduction pipe 94 by the first compression element, and sucks it in the second compression element via a refrigerant introduction pipe 92, and compresses it. The refrigerant introduction pipes 92 and 94 are connected to the closed vessel 12 at an adjacent position, and arranged in the direction opposite to each other from the closed vessel 12.
