PURPOSE: A method and device of cutting off a gas and alarming leakage is provided to prevent a fire and gas explosion by sensing the peripheral temperature of a heating apparatus and cutting off a valve. CONSTITUTION: A gas-cutting off device(30) is installed to the upper part of an intermediate valve(33) selecting gas supply into a heating apparatus(31) in the middle of a gas pipe(32) connected with the heating apparatus. The gas-cutting off device has a valve(35) selecting gas supply into the intermediate valve, and an opening and shutting device(37) operated by a control unit(36) to open and shut the valve. The control unit compares the sensed temperature of a temperature sensor(38) installed around the heating apparatus and the control value preset to the control unit, and operates the opening and shutting device, to control the valve. A cutting-off situation is recognized by voice and light through a speaker(39) or a lamp(40) of an alarm when the valve is controlled. The control unit has a logic circuit controlling the opening and shutting device, to compare a normal temperature state, a heating state, and a firing state and to cut off the valve, just in not using the heating apparatus and in firing. Thus, a fire and an explosion are prevented.
