PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an exhaust brake device sufficiently securing a brake force of the exhaust brake device even in a low vehicle speed. SOLUTION: This control device for the exhaust brake device 73 is assembled with a power transmission having a fluid joint 2 connected to an output shaft 1a of an engine E, a clutch 3 interposed between the fluid joint 2 and a transmission T/M, and a lockup clutch 7 mechanically disconnecting/connecting the fluid joint 2. This device is also provided with an electronic control unit 22 controlling the disconnection/connection of the lockup clutch 7 and the operation of the exhaust brake device 73. The electric control unit 22 allows the exhaust brake device 73 to operate in a connecting region of the lockup clutch 7.
