STRENGTH STRUCTURE FOR SEGMENT AND CALCULATION METHOD OF STRUCTURAL DIMENSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strength structure and a calculation method of a structural dimension for a segment 7, which is formed of a skin plate 11 and a main beam 13 to constitute a hollow cylindrical immersion body in the ground used for a pit of a tunnel and a bridge pier, for making good use of the skin plate for strength without any excess or deficiency. SOLUTION: The segment 7 is provided with the skin plate 11 arranged on the outside and having a thickness t and n sheets of the main beams 13 welded to the skin plate horizontally and spaced out at a predetermined interval mutually, and the cross section of the main beam is used as a strength cross section. When it is estimated that a partαt of the skin plate in the welded part to the main beam is included in an effective cross section of the strength cross section, a formula L=2α(n-1)t is used for the structural dimension so that skin plate is included over the overall width of a vertical ring width L of the segment.
