PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submerged pump for a shallow well capable of suppressing generation of water hammer regardless of the state of a delivery side pipe line. SOLUTION: This submerged pump for a shallow well comprises a check valve integrated to the delivery part of a pump part, so that the section from the check valve to the pump part where negative pressure is apt to generate is mostly eliminated. Accordingly, when the pump operation is stopped, the generation of negative pressure in the pipe is suppressed to suppress the generation of water hammer resulted from the generation of negative pressure.
