PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin a lens barrel equipped with a plurality of lens groups and a shutter unit in an optical axis direction. SOLUTION: This lens barrel includes as least a first lens group 40 and a second lens group 50 arranged in order from a subject side in the optical axis direction, is provided with a shutter unit S performing operation to open/ close or stop down an aperture part for exposure in the first lens group 40, and is constituted so that the lens barrel 51' of the second lens group 50 and a lens G3 partially enter the aperture parts 42a' and 43a' of the first lens group 40 in a collapsible state. Thus, entire length in the optical axis direction L is shortened, and a device can be thinned.
