PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclined-angle detector that hardly malfunctions even when the detector is vibrated from the outside. SOLUTION: This inclined-angle detector is provided with an annular glass pipe 11, a magnetic fluid 13 which is injected into the glass pipe 11 until the surface level of the fluid becomes higher than the vertical center of the pipe 11, and first and second magnets 15 which are provided to hold the opening of the pipe 11 between them. This detector is also provided with first and second magnetoresistance elements 14a and 14b which are provided between the magnets 15 near the surface level of the fluid 13 and closely adhered to the glass pipe 11 and an inclined-angle detecting means connected to the elements 14a and 14b. The magnetic fields caused by the magnets 15 are impressed upon the elements 14a and 14b in directions which are parallel to the film surfaces of the elements 14a and 14b and deflected from the longitudinal directions of the elements 14a and 14b by about 90 deg.. In addition, the center positions of the elements 14a and 14b in the longitudinal directions are roughly made coincident with the surface level of the fluid 13.
