PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole lid excellent in heat insulation properties, effective in preventing snowmelt, and excellent in the property of making intimate contact with a lid counterpart as well as in the durability of a thermal cycle. SOLUTION: The manhole lid has a layer of a synthetic-resin binder [I], preferably a resin composition [III] obtained by blending an air-dried unsaturated polyester resin (A) and a quick-hardening urethane resin (B) with a hollow globular filler [II], provided on the back of the lid.
