PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a return preventive stopper device in a lift device for a vehicle to be slid and stored in the vehicle except when a platform and the lift mechanism are used. SOLUTION: In the lift device 1 for the vehicle, a movable support frame 4 is moved forward or backward by a mounted power unit along rail frames 3a and 3b disposed on the vehicle and the platform 12 is fed out of the vehicle 2 or stored in the vehicle. The lift device 1 has a stopper rod 22 pivotally supported at the movable support frame 4, and the stopper rod 22 has a stopper part 22b at one end with the rail frames 3a, 3b, attaching structures of the rail frames 3a and 3b, or a structure fixed to the vehicle 2, etc., as the engagement part. The stopper rod 22 is operated, in combination with a lift arm 11 moving up/down along the stopper rod 22 or with a part of the platform 12 to make the stopper for preventing the movable support frame 4 from returning.
