PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new retainer which can completely suppress any loss by high-temperature melting of a galvanized layer of a galvanized steel wire constituting the retainer, and demonstrate excellent corrosion resistance and durability thereby. SOLUTION: In the retainer in which a plurality of ring bodies are arranged along the axial direction thereof at predetermined intervals, and the ring bodies are supported by a plurality of longitudinal reinforcement wires, the ring bodies comprise transversely-woven wire ring bodies formed by making the transversely-woven wires ring-shaped, the longitudinal reinforcement wires comprise longitudinally-woven wires, and the longitudinally-woven wires and the transversely-woven wire ring bodies are supported by each other in a woven manner.
