PURPOSE: A tunnel boring machine is provided to install a tunnel structure regardless of an earthy layer or a bedrock layer, to form a tunnel continuously regardless of the length of a tunnel and the structure of a stratum and to construct various shaped tunnel structures. CONSTITUTION: A tunnel boring machine comprises; a cylinder for press propelling supported to a bracing reaction wall(10) installed to a lower end sidewall of a vertical advance tunnel(101) excavated vertically to a regular depth from the ground(100) and adding force to push a tunnel structure under the ground in the horizontal direction of the vertical advance tunnel; a carrying bogie(94) supported or thrust by the cylinder for press propelling and pushed under the ground in the horizontal direction of the vertical advance tunnel to secure a tunneling space and advancing to a vertical target tunnel(102) excavated vertically at a regular depth from the ground while excavating earthy materials and bedrock inside the tunneling space; many tunnel structures(20) pressed continuously by the cylinder for press propelling into the tunneling space excavated by the carrying bogie to form a tunnel.
