PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus in which an image can be printed while being reduced in the sub-scanning direction without deteriorating the image quality even when the resolution is converted at the time of print processing. SOLUTION: Resolution (e.g. 200×100 dpi) of image data being printed is converted into a high resolution (e.g. 200×400 dpi) for printing, period of a horizontal sync signal is reduced depending on the reduction rate (e.g. 90%), pulse width of a strobe signal is also reduced depending on the reduction rate, and the exposure time is shortened. The dot is also reduced depending on the reduction rate and image quality can be presented from deteriorating due to overlap of dots. |
