PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method capable of saving time and labor required for adjusting a temperature of hot water to increase the convenience property and eliminating waste of water resource such as water to be disposed when filling a bathtub with hot water using a simple hot-water supply device such as a device of hot-water supply single function type, and also to provide the hot-water supply device provided with this control method. SOLUTION: Whether a hot-water supply condition in which a hot-water supply flow rate exceeds a pre-set flow rate occurs or not is monitored (S1), and integration of the hot-water supply flow rate is started if the hot-water supply condition occurs (S2). If the integrated flow value exceeds a predetermined integrated value, it is determined that current hot-water supply is used for filling the bathtub with hot water, and a hot-water supply set temperature is changed and set to a hot-water filling temperature value for filling the bathtub with hot water (YES at S3, S4). If the integrated flow value reaches a pre-set hot-water filling amount or the hot-water supply flow rate is below a pre-set flow rate and reaches the minimum operation flow rate, it is determined that filling the bathtub with hot water is completed to restore to the original temperature value set by a user in a remote controller as the hot-water supply set temperature (YES at S5, S6).
