摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability of a flame in a combustor section of a gas turbine engine. SOLUTION: A spray nozzle includes an inlet for receiving fuel and an outlet for discharging fuel. The outlet forms a skewed spray pattern intersecting the center line in the longitudinal direction of a nozzle. The fuel sprayer includes a fuel nozzle outlet so that a fluid discharged from a swirler forms a crescent- shaped spray pattern in fuel. The combustor section of the gas turbine engine includes a combustion chamber and fuel injectors. At least one of the fuel injectors forms a skewed flame pattern 87 partially overlapping a flame pattern 87 from an adjacent fuel injector in the combustion chamber. In a method for improving the stability of the flame in the combustor section of the gas turbine engine, at least one fuel injector forms the skewed flame pattern 87 in the combustor section to generate non-uniformity of fuel, and this flame pattern 87 partially overlaps the adjacent flame pattern 87.
