PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divided-type polyester conjugate fiber producible easily and stably, and also environmentally friendly in terms of waste liquid treatment and the like through undergoing alkali reduction of the biodegradable polymer component thereof. SOLUTION: This divided-type polyester conjugate fiber has such a conjugate figure that, on the fiber section, one of the components thereof, a polyalkylene terephthalate component 1, is divided into a plurality of portions by the other component, a readily alkali-soluble polyester component 2; wherein the polyester component 2 is a polylactic acid stereocomplex >=180 deg.C crystal melting starting temperature composed of poly-L-lactic acid 70-100% in optical purity and poly-D- lactic acid 70-100% in optical purity in the mass ratio of (30:70) to (70:30).
