PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stacking a large volume of paper while providing for good alignment properties when stacking paper. SOLUTION: A stacking tray 4 is held horizontal to increase the number of stackable paper to H2 to enable the stacking tray to stack a greater number of paper than conventional stacking trays and stack a large volume of paper. An end limiting member 3 is disposed on the downstream side along feed direction to thereby prevent already stacked paper P1 on the stacking tray 4 from being doubly fed and maintain good alignment properties in the feed direction.
