PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery replacing device for a battery type forklift truck allowing easy replacement of a battery. SOLUTION: This battery replacing device for the battery type forklift truck is to replace the battery 3 for power mounted on a vehicle body 1. The device is provided with a lift means 6 for raising the battery 3 to a replacing position by pressing by a fork 4 of an other forklift truck in the vicinity of the battery 3 mounted on the vehicle body 1. The battery 3 can be easily replaced even at a place without a lifting means such as a crane, an inexpensive general purpose battery having no pockets can be used for the bottom part of the battery 3, and thereby the device is very economical.
