PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a depth-of-cut regulating mechanism for a motor-driven cutter which can surely perform a depth-of-cut regulating operation in a regulating range and which can be operated smoothly. SOLUTION: The depth-of-cut regulating mechanism for the motor-driven cutter comprises a sharp shape 8 provided at the opposite side end face of the mount of the base 2 of a link 3 to skive chips 7 adhered to the inside corner of a gear cover 1, deposited and solidified at the time of the depth-of-cut regulating operation. Thus, the operation of the link 3 can be smoothed, and hence the depth-of-cut regulating fault is eliminated.
