<p>The sliding door unit has at least one motor-driven sliding (5) door-leaf and at least one fixed (6) leaf. The running carriage is mounted on a horizontal support (1a,1b) supported on the two end sides. The horizontal support on the fixed leaf has at least one bearing and grips over the top horizontal edge of the fixed leaf. Together with the horizontal support, at least one supporting vertical frame-strut forms an exterior frame for the fixed leaf.
