PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamination-type electromagnetic welding method of sheet metals in which dissimilar metals of considerably different welding conditions or a metals difficult to weld can be welded, and the deformation of a work after the electromagnetic welding can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the lamination-type electromagnetic welding method of sheet metals in which two works of metal sheets are covered by an insulating film and placed between two flat coils 2 and 4 having a current concentration part, and the two works are welded by allowing a large current to run in the coils 2 and 4, the two works are different in material, and a patch composed of a sheet metal of the same material as that of one work overlaps the other work for welding.
