PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auger type ice making machine capable of uniformly heating the vicinity of an ice compression head and smoothly ejecting ice. SOLUTION: This auger type ice making machine is equipped with a cylindrical freezing casing 18 having an ice making cylinder 19 inside which an auger 15 is rotatively housed; the ice compression head 21 rotatively supporting the upper end part of the auger 15; a housing 10 rotatively supporting the lower end part of the auger 15; a gear mode 2 connected to the lower part of the housing 10 and rotatively driving the auger 15; and a belt heater 35 positioned on the outside of the ice compression head 21 and arranged along the outer circumferential surface of the ice making cylinder 19, and a high heat-conductive metal 36 is interposed between the outer surface of the ice making cylinder 19 and the inner surface of the belt heater 35 so as to come in contact with the outer surface of the ice making cylinder 19 and the inner surface of the belt heater 35.
