PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel variable lever tumbler lock capable of easily changing variation in key shape. SOLUTION: A lever tumbler 11 is formed of the combination of a substantially C-shaped tumbler A11A and tumbler B11B to be mutually superposed. An engagement part 15 with a key groove of a spare key is formed in the tumbler A, and energized in the direction of interfering with the spare key. An unlocking cutout 9 is formed on the tumbler B, and an engagement protruding part 18 is formed on the free end part of the tumbler B. An engagement protruding part 18 is formed on the free end part of the tumbler A, two or more engagement recessed parts 18 are formed on the circular arc having a strut as the center of the tumbler B, and variations in key shape are obtained by changing the engagement combinations between them. To change the engagement, a backup pin 8 is moved in the paper surface direction to move the tumbler B by a flange 21 integrated thereto, a new spare key is inserted to changer the angle relation between the tumblers A and B, and they are then mutually connected again.
