PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To successfully treat the dust generated in the drilling of a base rock by use of a hydraulic rock drilling machine to prevent the leak of the dust to the outside. SOLUTION: A dust treatment device comprising a tank for containing a liquid surfactant, a compressed air supplying device for supplying compressed air to the tank, and a surfactant supplying pipe for supplying the surfactant in the tank to the rock drilling machine together with the compressed air is used to force-feed the liquid surfactant to the rock drilling machine. The surfactant is discharged to the bottom part of a drilled hole from the tip of a bit through the through-hole of a drilling rod, and the discharged liquid surfactant is foamed by the striking of the rock drilling machine to capture the dust by the resulting bubbles.
