PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in a lifetime of a motor driving circuit. SOLUTION: This electric compressor 100 is assembled and fixed to an engine 200 so that the motor driving circuit Ic is positioned on the opposite side to the engine for travel while putting either of a compression mechanism Cp or one of motors Mo (a motor Mo, for example) between them. In this way, radiant heat from the engine 200 is shut off by the compression mechanism Cp and the motor Mo (a housing 110). Therefore, direct radiation of the radiant heat from the engine 200 to the motor driving circuit Ic can be prevented, and electronic parts constituting the motor driving circuit Ic can be prevented from thermal degradation, and consequently, reduction in the lifetime of the motor driving circuit Ic can be prevented.
