摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply control discharge characteristics such as a discharge weight of ink drops more variously in a driving method for an ink jet head of a system in which ink drops are discharged by impressing a voltage between a diaphragm which forms an ink chamber bottom face and an opposite wall set opposite via a gap and deflecting the diaphragm towards the opposite wall by a Coulomb' s force. SOLUTION: There are provided a charging process V10 in which both a large gap part 51c and a small gap part 51a are brought in contact with the opposite wall 91 by the Coulomb's force generated by impressing a driving voltage between the diaphragm 51 and a counter electrode 10, and a discharging process V1 in which the driving voltage is released with the use of a first segment V12 where a voltage drop inclination to a time is steep and second segments V13-V15 succeeding the first segment where the voltage drop inclination is moderate. A timing when the small gap part 51a separates from the opposite wall 91 is made different by changing size of the voltage drop in the first segment, whereby quantity of ink drops discharged from a nozzle 11 can be controlled.
