PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality and the uniformity of a pneumatic tire by accurately forming a jointless band without collapsing a winding and preventing an air reservoir form occurring between the jointless band and a carcass ply and a center deviation from occurring. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the pneumatic tire comprises a step of clamping the bead core 5 of a body cover 9 including the carcass ply 6A formed in a cylindrical state by a clamp ring 20 which can axially approach. The method further comprises a step of bulging the cover 9 in the shape near the final shape of the bead core between the cores by radially enlarging a profile deck 21. The method also comprises a step of attaching a tread constituting member including the jointless band 7A and the tread rubber 2G to the outer peripheral surface of the cover 9 of the bulged shape in a state in which the tread member is bulged and held by the deck 21.
