PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butterfly nut turning tool of simple structure assuring easy handling when a butterfly nut to be turned by fingers is set too tight to unfasten or when the position for installing the butterfly nut is not easily accessible by fingers. SOLUTION: The butterfly nut turning tool includes a ring-shaped body having in the center a bolt hole 12 to admit fitting of the butterfly nut 11, engaging pawls 22 protruding from the undersurface of the body in symmetrical positions about the axis of the body, and a relatively long main grip 25 and a relatively short auxiliary grip 26 provided in the symmetrical positions on the outer surface of the body, wherein the main grip is curved upward.
