The motor vehicle steering shaft lock has a bolt (20) which is extended to engage the shaft and prevent it turning under the control of a lock (40) actuator. A recess (58) in the rear of the bolt is formed by an angled front stop face (80) which co-operates with a blocking finger (54) to prevent rearward movement of the bolt. |
