PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte type carbon dioxide sensor element capable of measuring highly accurately even at a lowered operating temperature, shortening a response time, and preventing the change of an electromotive force even when left for long hours in an atmosphere having high moisture concentration such as a high moisture atmosphere or a condensing atmosphere in the non-heated state. SOLUTION: This solid electrolyte type carbon dioxide sensor element is formed by bonding a working electrode including an electron conducting material such as platinum or an auxiliary electrode material such as sodium carbonate and a reference electrode including the electron conducting material such as platinum on the surface of a solid electrolyte layer such as NASICON. In the element, a nickel oxide such as NiO or a complex oxide between nickel and other element such as NiLa2 O4 is added to the working electrode. |
