<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation in exhaust emissions by providing a technique for compensating a shortage or overage of fuel injection quantity irrespective of an operating range in an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine comprises an exhaust pressure measuring means 37 for measuring the pressure of exhaust gas, a discharge timing determining means 35 for determining the timing of a discharge of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine 1, a pressure wave arrival time estimating means 35 for estimating a time from the discharge timing of exhaust gas to the arrival of a pressure wave of the exhaust gas at the exhaust pressure measuring means 37, a fuel quantity estimating means 35 for estimating a shortage or overage of fuel supply quantity according to the pressure of exhaust gas at the time of pressure wave arrival, and a correcting means 35 for correcting the fuel supply quantity according to the estimation result of the fuel quantity estimating means 35.</p> |
