PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ester which is produced from a carboxylic acid and a polyoxyalkylene alcohol and causes, when employed as a plasticizer of a resin, no fogging phenomena nor deterioration in color tone of the resin. SOLUTION: The plasticizer is obtained by a production method for an ester comprising an esterification reaction of a carboxylic acid with a polyoxyalkylene alcohol where a titanium catalyst of a specific composition is employed.
